Meet Dave Thorpe

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Dave has over 30 years of experience in playing and coaching volleyball. From playing All-Navy in 1992 to club ball through the Nineties and a year at UW-Milwaukee in 2000 where the squad finished in the top ten at Nationals, he’s played at almost every position on the court at one time or another. Dave was first-team WVC in 2000, playing primarily right side. Dave also spent five years coaching at Franklin High School in Franklin, Wisconsin where he was the head junior varsity coach for two years and varsity coach of the boy’s teams for his last three before leaving teaching and pursuing another career. Dave has also worked numerous individual skills and team camps for high school girls programs over the years at collegiate notables such as Northwestern, Alabama and Florida. Dave’s work ethic on the court and competitive spirit were born early, instilled from his father who, at 74-years-young still plays in the senior division for Badger State in Wisconsin. He continues to play beach and grass tournaments today.
